This resort was INCREDIBLE! Great for both an adult getaway or a family vacation. Wenderson at the front desk was so welcoming and answered all my questions. My friends and I got a Cabana at the pool and had Brooklyn, Jesse and Barron serve us. They were all super attentive and checked on us so often that our drinks were never empty. They also had someone making cotton candy by the pool which was a nice surprise! Our bartenders Vinny and Omar Definitely dont skimp out when making drinks. You will definitely get your moneys worth at this resort! Highly recommend!

We came for the day to celebrate a birthday and it was one of the best pool/ beach days we’ve had. We reserved a cabana by the pool and it was fully stocked when we arrived with drinks, towels, sunscreen, and more goodies! The staff were all wonderful as well. From getting checked in at the front desk by Wenderson, who was welcoming and informative, to our pool staff, Jesse and Barron, who made sure everything was set up and would stop by with extras like frozen grapes and cold towels, our server Brooklyn who kept the drinks and food coming and was an absolute pleasure to be around, and the bartenders Vinny and Omar who made the best mango daiquiris and piña coladas. It was a whole team effort that really made the day special. We already have plans to come back later this year! Thank you for a wonderful day!

Massively Overrated — Not Worth the Price Tag $3,000 for 4 nights and I left genuinely disappointed. LaPlaya charges luxury resort prices — and then some — but delivers an experience that doesn’t come close to justifying it. Let’s start with the property itself: it’s an older building that hasn’t aged gracefully. You’d expect that at this price point, everything would feel polished and premium. It doesn’t. The wear shows. And the nickel-and-diming is relentless. No breakfast included — not even a continental option baked into the rate. Want anything beyond your room? Open your wallet again. For what they charge per night, the lack of inclusions is almost insulting. Plenty of true luxury resorts at this price range offer far more as a baseline. I came in with high expectations for a special trip and left feeling like I’d been taken advantage of. The value just isn’t there. There are far better options in Naples for this kind of money — places that actually feel luxurious and treat you like a guest, not a revenue opportunity. Save your money and look elsewhere.

My name is Mike Ware. My wife and I stayed at the LaPlaya Beach & Gold Resort from May 13-18th. We had a fantastic time and we enjoyed our room 1012 ocean view, the awesome pools, the beautiful and well maintained beach, and all the other amenities the Resort had to offer, especially that breathtaking sun sets. The Resort staff were super amazing including the valet team who treated my wife and I like royalty. There were a few minor things I wanted to mention that made part of our stay somewhat unpleasant. 1) The step up to get into the tub/shower is so high that my wife and I had to hold the handle just to get into the tub. My wife actually hit her knee on two separate occasions just to get into the tub/shower. Anyone with mobility or leg issues won't be able to use room 1012 because the tub is so steep to get into. 2) The vanity in the bathroom was dull and not bright enough that it made shaving my head and face difficult to the point where I had to shave using a mirror in the bedroom. 3) The ocean view was absolutely breathtaking and the sunsets were indescribable. My wife and I actually loved sleeping with the patio doors open to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. Unfortunately, after a few nights being there, someone was smoking cigarettes either next to us, above us or below us, where the smell entered our room. It was so strong that I had to shut the patio doors. It took hours for the smell to finally clear our room. I did inform the front desk the very next morning but it did happen again the next night. But overall the LaPlay Resort was amazing and my wife and I plan on returning for our anniversary in August. The LaPlaya Resort was indeed one of the best locations for our vacation that we have ever experienced. Besides those few things mentioned above, we had a memorable and everlasting stay at the Resort.

Our stay at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded every expectation. The property itself is stunning — beautiful beachfront views, immaculate grounds, and an atmosphere that perfectly captures the relaxing luxury of Naples. What truly made the stay special, though, was the service. Ken Minke went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made a huge difference in our experience. It’s rare to encounter someone who cares so much about making guests feel welcome and taken care of, and Ken absolutely delivered. Between the amazing accommodations, the gorgeous beach, and the outstanding service, this was one of the best resort stays we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Naples! ??

Thought about taking one star away after they let themselves into our room when it had a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door to drop off a complimentary bottle of champagne. Thankfully we weren’t there ?. Otherwise the room was mid. Nothing fancy. But the view was amazing and this property is in a great location. Love the pools and hot tub as well.

Our stay at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort was absolutely wonderful. We are truly grateful for the hospitality and for everything we were able to share and experience during our time there. We felt very welcomed, cared for, and comfortable throughout our stay. It was an experience we genuinely loved and deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay. Beautiful resort with outstanding service and amazing sunset views. The rooms are well maintained and have absolutely NO ODOR, which is so rare when you're right on the water. The best part about our stay here was the service. It was exceptional from the beach to poolside to housekeeping. We were very well taken care of by a young, happy team that seemed to be always around when needed, but never hovered. We were particularly impressed with the young men who kept the beach, beach chairs, and umbrellas wonderfully maintained and orderly. A very special thank you to housekeeping, and Kim Hawxhurst in particular, for returning some serums and items that I had forgotten there in the nightstand. Housekeeping bagged and set aside everything before I even realized I had left them, and Kim kept in touch while she tracked down my items and shipped them back to me. It was a very nice cherry on top of a wonderful stay to have my favorite sleep mask come back home to me, thanks to these thoughtful ladies.

We did not stay here so I am not rating the resort however we did eat Dinner at their restaurant Baleen. The food, service and the scenery are top notch. It was a blustery evening, but we decided to keep our outdoor table because of the view. My wife and I had the Chef's Signature Special Blackened Gulf Grouper and our son had the Pan Roasted Diver Scallops. All were delicious. Our server Chris did a great tending to our table. I took one Star off due to our appetizer Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. The cocktail sauce was solidified for some reason and I returned a drink which Chris took care of, but it was fine after that. We will definitely return though because it's so nice here.

LaPlaya is one of those places that just gets everything right. The rooms are gorgeous—beautifully designed, spotless, and genuinely luxurious—with views that stretch across the golf course and out toward the Gulf. It’s the kind of space you instantly relax into. BALEEN is the standout. Brunch on the terrace feels like a Naples postcard: sunshine, great food, and those open views of the fairway and water. And if you can catch a sunset dinner here, do it. The sky puts on a show and the whole experience feels special without trying too hard. Whether you’re staying the weekend or just popping in for a meal, LaPlaya delivers the kind of quality and atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and those unmistakable Naples views.
