The Naples Grande Beach Resort offers a beautiful beachfront location and a range of amenities, with generally positive guest experiences centered around attentive staff like Sammy. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with dated facilities, inconsistent service quality, and ongoing construction impacting the guest experience, alongside high resort fees.
I had an exceptional experience during my stay, and a huge part of that was thanks to Sammy. From the moment I stepped through the door, he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine kindness really stood out. Sammy consistently went above and beyond — whether it was helping with small requests, offering thoughtful recommendations, or simply making sure I felt welcome every time I came through the lobby. It’s rare to come across someone who takes that much pride in making guests feel taken care of. Because of people like Sammy, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. He truly deserves recognition for the outstanding service he provides. Experiences like this are what make a stay memorable.
Over $600 per night for a room and in one word all common areas and my suite were shabby. The resort advertises five restaurants — yet the Pelican restaurant has been closed for months. The remaining so-called “restaurants” operate off the same limited menu, offering little variety unless you have a particular fondness for fries. The breakfast buffet resembled a crèche, with children running everywhere. There is no option for a calm, adult breakfast with even a semblance of decorum. We were forced to dine off-property to find a civilised start to the day. Room servicing was entirely inconsistent: . Sometimes the bed was made. . Sometimes the coffee was replenished. . Sometimes we received clean towels. . NEVER was the shampoo, conditioner or body wash replenished AND two of the dispensers did not work! For $600+ per night, “sometimes” is not acceptable. The music at the adult pool requires attention. What you hear is a relentless bass thump — from multiple sources — with no clarity, no balance, and no atmosphere. And why position Cornhole at the base of the stairs to the pool deck, directly beside the adult pool entrance? It creates unnecessary congestion and noise in what is supposed to be a designated adult space. At this price point, expectations are not unreasonable, they are justified. This experience fell well short of what is promised and what is paid for. Extremely disappointed with the hotel side of the resort, The common areas are clearly past its prime, yet premium rates are still being charged. This is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards that I as a guest were led to expect. ******************* Hotel response…. “We hope we will have another chance to show you what we are truly capable of”. ZERO comments on any issues I raised, just come back and spend more money…. I gave you EIGHT (8) nights and you showed me nothing! Basically, thanks for your money, see ya!
They're not actually on the beach..and are going to be renovating after April first. The rooms are dated, but the service is excellent!! They definitely aim to please. Shout out to Steve, manager at the front desk. And to the ladies and gentlemen in in room service who really made us feel special. ?
Great resort, very close to the beach, had a tram (big golf cart) service that shuttles you to and from the beach, has towel and lounge service on the beach for guests. Very clean, very nice. Juan at the front desk went above and beyond to help us get settled in. Has an adult pool/hot tub area!
We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and polite, from the front desk to all other services. Ella and Nino were amazing—very attentive and truly made our stay so pleasant. The facility is a bit outdated, but we were told that updates are in progress. Overall, everything was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I got married at this venue 2 years ago and a recent experience dealing with their Spa has let us with a horrible view of the venue in general. For our two-year anniversary, we purchased Groupons for the Spa and called to book an appointment for a specific Tuesday. The representative we spoke with confirmed the availability for that date and noted that the only restriction was that the Groupon was valid Monday through Thursday, which was totally fine. We were unable to complete the booking immediately as I did not have a credit card handy, but the representative assured us it was fine to call back the next day to finalize the reservation. When we called the next day, we were informed that the Groupon would not be honored on the date we had previously confirmed, despite it being the only day we could make during our trip to Naples. Although the Groupon terms mention blackout dates, they are not explicitly listed, and your staff had already assured us the date was available and Groupon eligible. When speaking with the Spa manager, I was met with incredible rudeness and she actually insinuated that I had fabricated the initial conversation with her employee, saying that "No one working yesterday would have said that." She made absolutely no effort to honor the terms originally explained to me or offer any accommodation, even after we mentioned our significant history with the venue and the tens of thousands of dollars we spent on our wedding there. As we are outside of the Groupon refund window (which we wouldn't have been yesterday), we can only hope that Groupon treats their customers better than the Naples Grande and grants us a refund exception. It is incredibly disheartening to have such a poor experience with a place that holds such sentimental value for us. I urge the management to review this situation and consider the impact this kind of customer service has on the venue's reputation.
Our suite (their highest quality room) was unclean and various things were broken. Walking on the carpet left our feet dirty and black! My husband threw a white T-shirt down on the floor and stepped on it to show the manager the dirt and grime. The toilet seat was loose and the lid closed onto us when sitting. Black mold in the shower and moisture and dirt was dripping down the walls. The construction noise was unacceptable and woke us up at 8am. We had asked to be moved as far away as possible upon check in but were placed directly above it! The manager, Brian responded to us positively and tried to address the above issues with head of housekeeping and moved us to another suite the next day. The noise was significantly reduced however the new suite smelled like cat urine, the door to the bathroom could not be moved and was stuck wide open. The toilet seat in the new suite broke when closed, the shelf in the tub/shower was cracked and falling apart and also had black mold growing. Head of housekeeping returned with an aerosol can of chemicals (DEP?) to the room when we were headed out to the beach for the day. Some issues were rectified... again but after sitting on the couch for only a few minutes I broke out with an itchy rash on my entire back and legs and had to wash off the chemicals that I assumed he sprayed to eliminate the cat urine smells. The best rated restaurant onsite was closed indefinitely without notice and the food at the other onsite locations are mediocre at best and in fact horrible at the poolside bar. Not to mention extremely expensive. This place is literally falling apart and not being cleaned properly. Beyond the initial response to the first room, the manager never followed up with us and we had to call about more issues. There's a difference between a few minor issues to be addressed and the disaster this place is. Never have we ever complained about a place and left a bad review for a hotel as we all know things happen. They should not be open for business and charging $400/night due to all the issues. We will NEVER go back even though they say they are closing for the 2026 season for renovations. We've been traveling for 30 years and this "resort " is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. Upon checkout they credited us for $350 for the troubles for a bill that totaled about $3500. 10% off for a nightmare of a stay. We should have left right away but had faith that the original issues would be resolved if we worked with them...what a joke though! DO NOT STAY HERE!
We stayed at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in October 2025 and were extremely disappointed with how the property handled active construction during our stay. When we checked in, we were told there “might be some noise” due to balcony door replacements. What we actually experienced was constant drilling, heavy machinery, and scaffolding right outside the building from 8am to 5pm every day. None of this was disclosed prior to booking. When we asked to leave early because the noise was unbearable, we were told to contact Expedia (our booking platform). Expedia initially agreed to reimburse us and move us to another resort—until Naples Grande denied that any construction was happening. Even after showing the on-site managers the noise, workers, and scaffolding, they refused to call it “construction” so they could avoid responsibility. The staff did eventually offer to let us leave early without paying for unused nights, but by that point, relocating and rebooking everything was too disruptive. We stayed, but our experience was nothing like what we paid for. This kind of wordplay and lack of transparency is unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. The grounds and beach are beautiful, but the honesty and guest care were not. If you’re considering staying here, I would recommend confirming directly with the property whether construction or “door replacement work” is ongoing before booking.
We were there from June 14-17 for 4 days for our honeymoon. For starters we were relocated 3 times due to the rooms extreme odor in one room and no air conditioning that worked in the second room. We were upgraded to a suite after that and they had the nerve to charge us extra per day for moving to that room but they did discount the cost. then we were beginning to enjoy the food and breakfast buffet which was wonderful and then we were told its only open on the weekend in the slow season. Our room had peeling paint and also peeling paint in the bathtub and was far from clean. Room 602 I will say however that the staff and the manager at the front desk were very polite and understanding, the pools were very nice as well as the beach was wonderful but the hotel itself really needs a good cleaning and refresh, especially in the high end city of Naples. Again,,the staff is just awesome and the food is great but please update and clean the rooms .
Booked a signature gulf view suite for 5 nights and although the size was as expected, the suite was very dated. The photos most likely were from many years ago. No plants on the balcony, paint peeling on the floor, no reclining lounge chairs like in the photos online. I’ve added online photo vs my photo. I also want to point out there is about a 12 plus inch step down from the balcony into the rooms floor, this is such a fall hazard so I don’t know how people haven’t fallen and been seriously hurt. I kept forgetting when going back in the room. Also, there are no handles or grip on the tub /shower so another big fall hazard stepping in and out of the tub/shower. You have to hold onto the wall and step down another foot or more to the floor. We called room service TWICE asking for our robes that we were told came with our room and an extra blanket and no one ever came. They were upgrading their computers so check in was very chaotic and the staff was pretty frustrated so none of the amenities were explained to us. We didn’t know bikes, kayaks or paddle boards were free. There was also a loud banging from construction on our floor beginning at 8am lasting through out the day the whole time we were there. There was also a bunch of trash piled up from maintaince outside our door. This hotel experience could’ve been so much better. We were never asked how our stay was by anyone and the desk staff seemed put out when asked again for the robes to be sent to our room that still never arrived. Place really has potential but fell very short with us on our anniversary. Positives were room was very clean. Pizza on the outside patio was great! Breakfast bar was pretty good too. Beach was wonderful and the cart ride to get there through the mangroves was nice.
