Pepper Ranch Preserve offers scenic trails and beautiful natural surroundings, particularly notable for its sunflower displays and wildlife. While primarily focused on outdoor recreation, it provides a peaceful experience with limited on-site amenities and potential for encountering wildlife.
Incredibly beautiful park with very nice trails
My 1st visit to the Pepper Ranch Preserve Native Sunflower fall sightings was nothing short of spectacular! I traveled from Miami, FL to Immokalee on Saturday, 10/11. I wish I had arrived sooner to explore the entire area. I can’t explain how beautiful this place is. The majestically stunning views of southeastern sunflowers was overwhelming. Entrance is free but pre-registration is required.
The best kept secret in Collier County. Peaceful and clean natural surroundings with a very helpful Ranger on check in and check out.
What a great place to get out and explore. Our first time here and we drove around and walked part of the Sunflower trail. There are a lot of cows so we did encounter some cows on the trail and make sure to watch your step, a lot of cow patties. You must check in when you arrive at the welcome center and to make sure you check out when you leave. Open on weekends during certain times of the year for mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding. Rangers are very nice and helpful and the grounds are well maintained and it’s a pretty area to explore. You will need hiking boots and a hiking stick as some areas are muddy. Will definitely go back to check out other trails now that we know the area a little better.
Beautiful piece of old Florida. Miles of hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and horse back riding (you provide the horse). 10 campsites with picnic tables & fire rings and access to A bath house. Picnic pavilion can be reserved or used on a first come basis. Also, an awesome gazebo overlooking Lake Trafford. Worth the visit since the only fees are for camping.
This site is expansive but with few amenities to my knowledge. My experience is with the campground, which consists on 6 sites, fire pit and a table, and is only open Friday and Saturday evening. Clean bathrooms. It may only be open to County residents. Very peaceful, neat trails and in the springtime you can hear the gators bellow and owls hoot at night.
What a great mountain bike experience. Lots of quick turns, roots and some obstacles. (Not much incline) but such a nice trail. (3 total) Was very well maintained and dry when we went this past weekend. We got about 6 or 7 miles done and it was shaded for the 1st half. Only saw 3 other riders. If you haven't been I would highly recommend for a beginner
Saw a gator on our way in! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. That 1 mile walk was worth it to see all the lovely flowers. Note: flower viewing is a once a year event (October). Entrance was free and parking was limited. Pack water bottles and sunblock. Worth the trip.
