Marco Island Lakeside Inn offers a charming retreat in the heart of Marco Island's historical district. Guests enjoy convenient access to local attractions and comfortable accommodations within walking distance of key landmarks.
The Marco Island Lakeside Inn receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its cleanliness, location, and comfortable rooms, while others report significant issues with noise, uncomfortable beds, and poor service. Recent reviews highlight concerns regarding wall thinness, lack of amenities, and a lack of response to guest requests. The property appears to be undergoing renovations impacting guest enjoyment.
I can't remember the last time I felt compelled to leave a bad review about a hotel on google or Yelp. But I felt taken advantage of. I paid $950 for two nights to stay at this property. And frankly, I'm not sure why? They weren't sold out, the parking lot was not full. This is not the peak spring break season yet. My lakeside view is actually a pond The property is clean and well maintained, but far from premium. My room was showing quite a bit of wear and tear - especially in the bathroom the ceiling was peeling. There were holes in the wall. The property is not on, or near .... any beach (realize this was not promised but I'm trying to understand the premium I paid). The walls are paper thin, and my neighbors woke me up each morning. There was no turn-down service. Nobody took out the trash, made my bed etc on Saturday. This is a hotel right? I've never been to the Island before, I was in a hurry when I booked this room, and when I agreed to pay this rate ... thinking it was at least as good as a Courtyard or Hilton Garden Inn. It's not. If you're paying $200-300, that's fair. Don't pay more than that.
This is an older place but extremely clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. There is not enough furniture around the pool area. We were waiting for someone to finish using theirs, and there weren't many people by the pool, so we should not have had to wait. Other than that, we had a great stay
Had a wonderful stay here! The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette. Nice walk in short. Beautiful lake almost right outside our door. The beds were very comfortable. Great location!
Overall our stay was good. The place was clean, staff were friendly and great location. Just a few things I would note. The walls are pretty thin. This may explain why the property enforces a strict curfew on noise. We were good with that, and it was New Year’s Eve so you have to keep that in mind. We weren't a huge fan of the glass entry door right into the living room, but I think they can easily fix that with some tinting for more privacy. Also, the bed was really noisy and not super comfortable. If your significant other is a light sleeper, prepare not to move much or risk waking them.
My son-in-law prepaid for a five-night stay but couldn’t travel due to a snowstorm and a bad case of the flu. The motel refused to refund any portion of the stay. He offered the room to me instead. I checked in but did not stay overnight. The next day, the motel called asking if I planned to use the room. When I said I wasn’t sure, they said they would rent it to someone else. I told them that was fine as long as my son-in-law received a partial refund. I was told, “That’s not how it works.” In other words, they were willing to keep the full payment and rent the room again. That’s not ethical business practice.
The location is lovely. Everything else needs improvement. The room was not even cleaned. When I went to the front desk to explain this, what do they do? Give me cleaning supplies to do it myself. Who does this? So if you enjoy cleaning someone else’s place, go ahead and stay here.
The room was dirty, our socks were black after walking in the room. The front desk was very helpful in providing me with cleaning supplies to clean the room up. VRBO, wont be making this mistake again. All Inclusive resort next time for me.
I highly recommend.. I am extremely picky to begin with. When we arrived the front desk staff was very kind and helpful. We went straight to the room. Very pleasantly surprised to see how nice our room was. It was a VERY CLEAN room that felt like a one bedroom apartment. It had everything needed and if u forgot something the office had it. The room even smelled clean . The pool was clean and everything about this stay was a 10. I will deffently return when im back in this area!
Great stay at Marco Island Lakeside! We really enjoyed our time here. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and even let us check in at 9:30 AM — much earlier than usual, which was a huge plus! The place is quiet and well-kept. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
This is such a gem of a find. You are close enough but far enough to enjoy whayever the island has to offer. Very clean rooms and very accommodating staff. I live in Cape Coral and I love my visits to Marco Island. I plan on returning many times and referring all my friends and anyone that wants great accommodations wothout breaking the bank!
