????? Exceptional Stay – A Hidden Gem on Marco Island! I enjoyed my stay at the Lakeside Inn immensely! The location is absolutely perfect—situated in a very private and extremely safe neighborhood. One of my favorite parts of each day was enjoying the gorgeous view of the small lake right off of my private balcony. The efficiency studio was flawless and had everything I needed, including a full setup with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the necessary utensils and cookware. It made cooking my own meals incredibly convenient, especially since the grocery store is less than a 3-minute bike ride away! The amenities are fantastic; the pool was pristine, kept at the perfect temperature, and I happily spent many days relaxing out there. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. The employees are so grateful, helpful, kind, and caring—it’s obvious they genuinely love their jobs. A huge shoutout to Nicole, Dianna, and Christine for their wonderful hospitality! The cleaning staff was also on top of absolutely everything. The room was spotlessly clean, and whenever I needed a quick replacement, like extra trash bags, they were at my door in no time. I can’t recommend the Lakeside Inn enough and look forward to returning!
We had a great stay at this hotel. It’s a quiet and beautiful place. Everything was very clean, with new furniture and modern appliances. The beach is only about 8 minutes away by car, and restaurants and stores are within walking distance. Highly recommend!
Stayed here in room 150, March 2026 for 2 nights with my family. Woke up the first morning to find a palmetto bug (aka american cockroach) on the wall next to my bed. Size of a half dollar. It was huge. Office was not concerned about this at all and hotel was booked so we could not change rooms. Said they would send in housekeeping to clean and check it but this never happened. We never even got clean towels the next day, I had to go to the office and get clean linens myself. We were stuck staying the 2nd night as we could not get refunded and other hotels on the island were $1500 a night which we could not afford. Kids would not go to sleep the next night until we searched the whole room for bugs. Noted garbage/food wrappers, and dirt/debris under the beds and dressers. Shower had other people's hair all over. Feet were black from walking on the floor in the room. It was definitely not clean like what the pictures show and we will never stay here again. 2 nights of no sleep due to cockroach, and being so scared about more cockroaches. Had to deep clean all of our luggage and clothes to ensure we did not bring home cockroaches. So very dissappointed and angry my kids had to sleep in this filth that was not cheap! I was so panicked when we saw the cockroach we never even got a picture which I regret now. My husband killed it and flushed it down the toilet right away. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!
I can't remember the last time I felt compelled to leave a bad review about a hotel on google or Yelp. But I felt taken advantage of. I paid $950 for two nights to stay at this property. And frankly, I'm not sure why? They weren't sold out, the parking lot was not full. This is not the peak spring break season yet. My lakeside view is actually a pond The property is clean and well maintained, but far from premium. My room was showing quite a bit of wear and tear - especially in the bathroom the ceiling was peeling. There were holes in the wall. The property is not on, or near .... any beach (realize this was not promised but I'm trying to understand the premium I paid). The walls are paper thin, and my neighbors woke me up each morning. There was no turn-down service. Nobody took out the trash, made my bed etc on Saturday. This is a hotel right? I've never been to the Island before, I was in a hurry when I booked this room, and when I agreed to pay this rate ... thinking it was at least as good as a Courtyard or Hilton Garden Inn. It's not. If you're paying $200-300, that's fair. Don't pay more than that.
This is an older place but extremely clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. There is not enough furniture around the pool area. We were waiting for someone to finish using theirs, and there weren't many people by the pool, so we should not have had to wait. Other than that, we had a great stay
Had a wonderful stay here! The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette. Nice walk in short. Beautiful lake almost right outside our door. The beds were very comfortable. Great location!
Overall our stay was good. The place was clean, staff were friendly and great location. Just a few things I would note. The walls are pretty thin. This may explain why the property enforces a strict curfew on noise. We were good with that, and it was New Year’s Eve so you have to keep that in mind. We weren't a huge fan of the glass entry door right into the living room, but I think they can easily fix that with some tinting for more privacy. Also, the bed was really noisy and not super comfortable. If your significant other is a light sleeper, prepare not to move much or risk waking them.
My son-in-law prepaid for a five-night stay but couldn’t travel due to a snowstorm and a bad case of the flu. The motel refused to refund any portion of the stay. He offered the room to me instead. I checked in but did not stay overnight. The next day, the motel called asking if I planned to use the room. When I said I wasn’t sure, they said they would rent it to someone else. I told them that was fine as long as my son-in-law received a partial refund. I was told, “That’s not how it works.” In other words, they were willing to keep the full payment and rent the room again. That’s not ethical business practice.
The location is lovely. Everything else needs improvement. The room was not even cleaned. When I went to the front desk to explain this, what do they do? Give me cleaning supplies to do it myself. Who does this? So if you enjoy cleaning someone else’s place, go ahead and stay here.
The room was dirty, our socks were black after walking in the room. The front desk was very helpful in providing me with cleaning supplies to clean the room up. VRBO, wont be making this mistake again. All Inclusive resort next time for me.
