The Spinnaker Inn of Naples offers a budget-friendly option for travelers, particularly those seeking a location near IHOP and for geocaching activities. However, guests consistently report issues with basic amenities, uncomfortable beds, and a dated property, alongside some safety concerns.

Ideal for a geocache weekend, which is what we were in town for! Perfect location right next To an IHOP, and during their bottomless pancakes event, so I was super pleased with that! The bed seemed smaller than a Queen but I didn’t bring a measuring tape so I can’t be certain. There was only one pillow offered per person so we ended up going to Walmart to buy more pillows. There was also only a fitted sheet and a weird blanket top sheet, and it was very cold the weekend of our stay, so we got a blanket too. Towels were tiny, but hand towels were plentiful ????? I bought a towel too lol There was a closet with a top shelf and space to hang things, but no hangers were provided, so bring your own or plan to purchase! There were also no towel rods…. Not even a hook on the bathroom door… very strange. So after our showers we hung them on the shower curtain rod ????? The a/c and heater worked fantastically and since it was in the 20’s during our trip, it was important to us that the heater worked lol For me, I go on long early morning pre-dawn walks, and there was adequate safe walking. I only had to cross one major road, but there are crosswalks and wide nice sidewalks everywhere. There’s a microwave and small fridge, adequate for a short to semi long stay. There is also a table and two chairs for dining so you don’t need to eat in the bed. We brought our Roku tv stick and it hooked up fine. The outlets are not modernized so be sure you pack walk adapters for your charge cords! Their WiFi speed seemed heavily dependent on time of day; it streamed our cartoons fine overnight. I read a few reviews saying there were shady people around… personally I did not see any shady folk. Everyone minded their own business; and I was leaving the around for my walks around 3 am…. We walked to and from ihop every night and never ran into another soul. In the mornings, due to its proximity to the highway I assume, there were generally lots of truckers there fueling up. But no one paid me any mind. This was the most economic accommodation we found in the area, so we knew we were not getting bells and whistles. All we really needed was a hot shower and a comfy bed; and ability to stream Adult Swim at night lol If you’re looking for that, and you’d rather spend your money on fun things like caching and kayaking, then this is your place!

You really can’t beat the price; but you do get what you pay for. Overall this was an enjoyable property, but there were a few key things that I personally felt were lacking and I feel would benefit future guests to know about : The bed linens were sparse; a fitted sheet and one weird blanket thing were all we got. There were 2 pillows provided and they were heavy as lead. We ended up purchasing our own pillows and a blanket at a nearby Walmart. The towels provided were small; there were many hand towels tho. I ended up buying myself a large towel at the Walmart too. There is a closet area with space to hang clothes, but no hangers provided, so be prepared to purchase some if you need to hang clothes. There were no towel racks, nor towel hooks in the bathroom door, which meant to hang our towels after our showers, we had to use the shower curtain rod. Not the biggest of deals, just weird and noteworthy. What did I love about this property? Besides the price, the location was perfect for us. It sits basically next door to an iHop, so pancakes for dinner every night occurred. There are many other restaurants within walking distance though, if pancakes aren’t your jam ? If you are a walker, like myself, and like to go for morning or evening power walks, there is ample safe walking places nearby. I got 11 miles every morning, only needing to cross one busy road. The neighborhood seemed fine; I did not feel unsafe at all, ever. The proximity to the highway meant there were a lot of truckers passing through, but everyone minded their own business. We had no bums sleeping on the property, nor whacked out folks. It was quiet at night. We were there during a really cold weekend with temperatures in the low 30’s at night; the heat in the room worked wonderfully, which is a definite thumbs up to any motel in Florida since they can usually let maintenance on their heaters lapse lol I gave service 3 stars only because we didn’t get any. The check in woman was ok; not overly pleasant but not necessarily unpleasant. The room service was optional, and we opted not to have any. The room was clean when we checked in, and I did witness room service staff around the property while we were there. The room key is a traditional brass key, and only one is provided, so make sure to have someone trustworthy be the key master! We were in town for geocaching, so we spent very little time in the room; all we needed was a shower and a bed, and this place provided both at a reasonable price. If you’re not looking for any bells or whistles, and you want to spend your hard earned money out on the trails, then this a great option. We will most likely return to this property whenever our travel needs bring us to the area, and we will bring our own pillows blankets and towels ??

The hotel is cheap, the rooms are clean but let's be realistic, you stay at the cheapest hotel you're going to be in a rather sketchy environment. A lot of people hang outside at night smoking and playing quarters. The beds are hard as rocks. However, the hotel is located right off the interstate off Pine Ridge Road and pretty close to everything. Most importantly, while a little run down, it's clean. They also had a microwave and mini fridge. AC worked and didn't leak or smell bad. Everything functioned, was clean, had warm water. Our vehicle did get a 2-3 inch scratch on the side in the parking lot so that was unfortunate but overall the stay was fine. The employees were all polite. Next time l will splurge to be in a safer area with a comfortable bed though.

I am a former Army infantryman who has slept outdoors in a fighting position I dug myself, and even that was more comfortable than the bed at this hotel. The mattress was like sleeping directly on metal springs. I doubled over the bedspread and slept on top of the pillows from both beds and the mattress caused immediate back and hip pain. I barely slept and woke up feeling worse than when I arrived. For the price being charged, basic sleep comfort should not be optional. If you value rest or even minimal mattress quality, I strongly advise choosing another property. I can say without a doubt this is the worst night's rest I have ever had as a civilian.

Horrible experience at this hotel customer service lady had an attitude. She did not work well with us to get us in a room. Then when we get in a room all hell broke loose does not even two lamps like it shows in the picture the whole room is just Mess whole room looks dirty. The water when it’s coming out of the shower behind the shower cap sprays everywhere in the bathroon. The light in the bathroom doesn’t even turn on like it flickers it doesn’t even stay on for less than a second before flickering. I couldn’t even stay here a night stayed here for 4-5 hours couldn’t take it anymore horrible experience best advice don’t come here.

Spinnaker Inn is a great hotel. Staff is very friendly. Gemma the manager and Paula the front desk agent is very friendly and supportive and goes the extra mile for clients. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Hotel is very clean and housekeeping does a great job. Rudy and Edwardo goes out of their way to help as well.

I have stayed at spinnaker on a multitude of different occasions. Every time the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. Some of the rooms are dated, but that comes with the territory. The quality of service with employees greatly makes up for the lapse in the quality of the actual rooms!

I stayed at Spinnaker’s Inn in Naples, Florida during a very difficult time — right after a hurricane, when we had no other place to go. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were completely unhelpful. One of the employees even refused to give us the Wi-Fi password, despite the hotel claiming to offer free Wi-Fi. There was no signal in the room anyway. We didn’t even have a SIM card at the time, so we were left completely disconnected. The room itself was in terrible condition — extremely humid, smelly, and far from clean. There was no breakfast service. At night, we didn’t feel safe at all. There were drunk people hanging around the property, and someone even knocked on our door late at night, which was extremely unsettling. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was unsafe, dirty, and poorly managed. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here, even as a last resort.

What a lovely surprise! The décor feels thoughtfully curated—quirky yet tasteful, with pops of color that make you smile. I drank mate on the patio by the pool (seen in the pics!) and sketched ideas for a new mural. The vibe supports creativity. Bonus: there’s a Burger King just a few blocks away.

I felt an amazing sense of calm the moment I arrived. The pool area is a hidden gem—sparkling clean, surrounded by loungers where I relaxed after long shifts. It was pure therapy, like an oasis after hospital chaos. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, and my room was spotless. I left feeling restored and grateful.
