Located in the heart of Naples, Compass by Margaritaville Hotel offers an all-suite escape where casual luxury meets laid-back vibes.
The Compass by Margaritaville Hotel Naples consistently receives positive feedback for its comfortable rooms, spacious design, and lively atmosphere resembling a resort experience. However, recent reviews have highlighted some recurring issues related to cleanliness and occasional service inconsistencies, particularly concerning guest assistance.
Overall, our stay was enjoyable, but there were two issues that should not be overlooked. During breakfast, there was no microwave available for guests, so my mother-in-law slightly opened the employee door and politely said, “Hello,” to get someone’s attention so we could warm up milk to make hot chocolate. We never entered or attempted to enter the employees-only area—we were simply asking for assistance. Instead of offering to help, Ketta aggressively pushed the door toward my face and told us we were not allowed back there. I immediately asked her not to do that and told her that I speak English. She never apologized or asked if we needed assistance. Moments later, Elizabeth Martinez came out, politely asked how she could help, and gladly warmed our milk. Her professionalism demonstrated exactly how the situation should have been handled from the beginning. I later spoke with Manager Trista, who apologized but seemed focused on the assumption that we were trying to enter the restricted area. I explained that this was never the case—we were simply trying to get someone’s attention because there was no microwave available for guests. Although the hotel appeared clean overall, we found a cockroach in our room and another of similar size near the elevator during our stay. I have included a photo because this is something management should be aware of. Everything else about our stay was enjoyable, but these issues left a lasting impression. I hope management takes this feedback seriously by providing better customer service training and addressing the pest concern so future guests have a better experience.
I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for the excellent experience I had during my recent stay. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm, friendly, and professional. I would especially like to recognize Elizabeth Martínez for her outstanding service. She was incredibly attentive to detail, always willing to help, and made us feel like family throughout our stay. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care truly made a difference and contributed greatly to our positive experience. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. I would gladly recommend your hotel and look forward to staying with you again in the future.
Very nice hotel. Our room was clean and well stocked. Loved the vibe of the hotel, upon arrival we got a free beer & a delicious chocolate cake. I didn’t love the pool area just because it’s very small and it can feel crowded real quick but other than that I really liked it. We had dinner at the bar and the food was delicious and the prices were fair, our server wasn’t the best but oh well! Highly recommended :)
The Compass hotel was an unexpected surprise! The rooms are large, spacious, and well-renovated, with a modern and comfortable design. Having a kitchen is a great bonus, especially if you’re staying for more than just a night. There are plenty of things to do in the evening — games, a pool table, and a cozy fireplace area that creates a really nice atmosphere. I also loved the bar with a beautiful view of the pool — perfect for relaxing. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service overall is very good. The only downside was the elevator — it’s quite slow, which can be a bit inconvenient. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back!
We had amazing experiences with this hotel! We booked Studio and it was absolutely perfect! Clean, cozy, spacious, equipped everything you need to live. AC system produced zero noise. The place is very quiet and sweet. Safety parking, varied breakfasts. Fair price. Highly recommend!
After some research we chose to stay at Compass for a quick weekend getaway. We're so happy we did. This hotel is 2 miles away from the closest beach and you feel like you're at a beach resort. Laid back, clean, and great service. Monica at the 5 o'clock somewhere bar was wonderful. She was friendly and provided us with great service. This hotel is a hidden gem. We will be back!
Wow! Great hotel! Kind of a Hampton Inn with a killer bar and pool area. Rooms were huge with a small kitchenette. Full size fridge, small cook top, sink and microwave. Could easily vacay here for a week. Attention to detail was impressive. Order a fridge filled with water or a bucket of Landshark beer awaiting your arrival right during the booking process. Tons of unique Margaritaville touches everywhere that just makes the whole place feel a step above. Did I mention the killer bar and pool area? Food menu, drinks, live music, palm trees, outdoor games, fire tables... I feel like I spent a lot more than I did. Like a resort at budget hotel prices.
Our stay has been amazing. The pool area is wonderful and makes you feel like you are in the beach! Reading other reviews I can’t believe that anyone can have a complaint about anything. Bar great, breakfast great, pool area great, and rooms great! 10 outta 10!
This was my first experience at Compass Hotels by Margaritaville. The location is fabulous, right on Tamiami Trail and conveniently close to the Mercato. The hotel rate is very reasonable for Naples, and the front desk staff was courteous during check-in. That said, I did find it a bit odd that additional staff behind the desk made eye contact but did not offer a greeting. While the price is fair for the area, I was disappointed by the $50 incidental hold placed on my card, which will be returned provided no charges are made to the room. Since my credit card is already on file, I’m not sure why this additional hold is necessary. The room itself is spacious, featuring a sitting area, dining table, kitchenette, separate bathroom, and bedroom. However, the bedroom feels cramped with two beds, leaving approximately 15 inches between the edge of the bed and the doorway. Cleanliness was a challenge: the grout between the bathroom tiles appears blackened, there was hair in the shower, stains ground into the bedroom carpet, visible dust on top of the refrigerator and microwave, and a stain on one of the couch cushions. Breakfast was included and was substantial and very tasty. Overall, the hotel caters less to business travelers and more to vacationers. I would return with my family if on vacation, but will probably not come back on business.
Monica, our bartender, was amazing. So friendly and welcoming for our first time visiting this location. Chris was also kind and helpful. Made our visit great. The vocalist by the pool was fantastic! Loved her voice! Taylor sang Fleetwood Mac, Ella Langley, and Lainey Wilson perfectly, even sang the ABCs as a request from a child a the pool. Such a rich and soulful voice for a young girl. Really soothing. We enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to return. Definitely a recommendation for locals and visitors.
