SpringHill Suites by Marriott Naples receives mixed reviews, with some praising its convenient location near Alligator Alley and friendly staff like Willie. However, a significant number of recent reviews highlight serious concerns regarding inconsistent room quality, poor customer service, and unresolved issues with billing and maintenance, suggesting significant operational problems.
We recently stayed again at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Naples, and once again had an amazing experience thanks to Willie. We met Willie during our stay last year, and his professionalism and kindness left such a great impression that we remembered him when we returned. This time, we arrived without reservations and weren’t sure if a room would be available. Not to mention it was a BUSY weekend Valentines/ Soccer tournaments, Willie stepped in immediately, stayed calm, and pulled through for us. His dedication, positive attitude, and genuine care for guests truly stand out. He is a tremendous asset to the hotel and a big reason we’ll continue coming back. Thank you, Willie!
Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Right near alligator alley. Good location
One of the better breakfast places. Real eggs for breakfast, that was a nice treat. Overall good hotel for the price.
Great location right off of Alligator Alley. Clean rooms. Breakfast had a great selection: bacon, scrambled eggs, breakfast biscuit sandwiches, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, and assorted juices and coffee. Property was clean. Decent gym also.
Way too expensive. I came with my family to stay during a soccer tournament. During this week end the price for the room went up to $492. In my opinion this price is way too high taking into account the value it provides. Rooms were very basic, breakfast was ok. Walls were so thin that you could hear the people next door speaking. Overall a very basic hotel for an outrageous price during a soccer week end. Not nice.
If you are planning to travel with a group I would recommend never rely on this hotel staff, sales person or even hotel manager. They will accept your request, promise to take care of everything, but after few months of calling (always voice mail and never call back) , sending emails (never respond) they just telling that your dates are fully booked, rooms you have been requested sold out , price went up for 30% and their answer after all this , they can’t understand what is my problem or even what I want from them? Really? I am not sure if all hotels work this way or just this one. I would booked it few month ago without all this “help” , waist of time and money, if I knew how it turned out.
Please do research before booking this hotel. I travel all throughout the East Coast( 2 times per month) for work and only stay at Marriott hotels. This is the worst experience in my life. I live in Florida and we had a cold front come through. First room had no heat. So, I called down stairs and I was told “this is Florida we don’t need heat most of the time and most of our rooms don’t have heat. They moved me to another room that had heat and ANTS all over the bathroom floor! Move to the next room Ants all over floor. The next room finally was enough to just sleep in , but mold all over bottom base of floor in bathroom and water damage on wall making wallpaper bubble and have mold behind. Toilet didn’t flush. Night staff said they could give me a plunger. That wasn’t the issue the issue was the toilet was not flushing. The most important thing is, I had multiple pending charges on my card totaling over $2500. It raised a red flag. I asked that the general manager call me. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. Finally, some pending charges dropped. I now have 5 separate charges to handle with my bank. Absolutely the worst hotel. No communication to resolve anything by the general manager. Staff was nice, but could only do so much. This hotel is in need of some major repairs and renovations and a new general manager that could lead by example.
I tried to make a reservation for our employees to stay at this hotel while on a job. I called for an authorization form to be sent so they would charge the room to our corporate credit card. I think her name was Carla at the front desk. Said she would have the form sent. Our email address is tricky. When I didn't receive the form after 15 min I called back to ask for it to be resent. She refused. She said it was sent and was sent to the correct address and that was all she could do. I asked for a manager. She refused. I asked to speak to anyone else, maybe the person who sent the form? She refused. My coworker called and kindly asked for the form to be sent to her email address. Carla said she would send it. But wasn't very nice. We never received the form. We had to send our employees to a different hotel. I have never had an experience like this with any Marriott before.
I recommend that they should be more careful before knocking on the guest room door. It was 9pm and a little later and a man knocked loudly on our door several times until he woke us up because there was supposedly smoke in our room. First, they should have called by phone (that's what they're there for) second, there was no smoke, since we have never smoked, nor had any candles lit, third, we slept soundly. I think respect for guests should be a priority. Another suggestion is about room service, we were in the breakfast area and we saw a lady with the bedclothes and towels neatly folded, inside a plastic bag dragging them down the first floor hallway on the morning of Sunday, January 5, 2024. We found it very unpleasant because it is precisely the clothes we sleep in or the towels we dry our bodies with, something that should be very hygienic. I think it is something that should be corrected, since the lady is older and they should provide her with better conditions to work.
I typically check reviews before going to a hotel just to avoid bad experiences, and I should have listened to the negative reviews of this hotel, they did not lie. A front desk staff member(I did not get her name) highly lacked in proper training. Went through 3 different rooms only to go from bad to worst. Carpets are disgusting in each of the rooms, walls look dirty, some ceilings have water marks, bathrooms look dirty(one of the handicap showers had mold, floors not cleaned), room smells of mold or just the carpet smells up the room, couches had stains. I took some photos, but not everything mentioned are in photos, and the smell in the rooms and hallways were not at all pleasant. Hopefully, management cares enough to do better in all aspects of this hotel. Otherwise, you may really want to book elsewhere, I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. There are many other better options in the area.
