Located along the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico, JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort offers a tranquil escape with modern luxury. Guests enjoy direct beach access, world-class golf, and diverse dining options, all within minutes of Naples.
This resort offers an excellent beachfront location with stunning views and a mix of amenities including infinity pools, a spa, multiple dining options, and an arcade. Guests praise the modern spacious rooms, accommodating staff, and family-friendly atmosphere, though many reviews highlight inconsistent service, poor housekeeping, and substantial value issues.
We paid over $1,000 a night for a partial ocean view room at this hotel. We were very excited as we thought for this type of money the hotel and service would be fabulous. But it wasn't. The rooms are specious, the view is nice, the beach is nice BUT...the room was dirty ( sheets had brown stains and control remote was dirty), the food was really bad outside of breakfast buffet ( burnt chicken tenders and french fries and shrimp po boy was a total joke), the beach service is a mess with motorized golf carts going up and down the beach with foods and drinks for guests making it very annoying and zero relaxing. The lady in the cart decided to park right in front of us obstructing our view and we had to hear her for over one hour apologize to people for food being late. And the service was sunpar (Staff is not very hospitable, I overheard two employees in the front desk talking bad about a guest that had just left, yikes!! Also my husband called twice 2 days before our stay to book a massage for me, he left a message, and they never called him back.). When you pay this type of money for a hotel, it comes with certain expectations and this hotel felt short and our stay was very very dissapointing. This hotel is overpriced for what it really is and is definitely not a luxury hotel. So if you are looking for a high end property with great service and luxury feel, look for another destination/ property or you will be very dissapointed. Don't waste your money and time here.
We enjoyed our stay for sure. The room on the sirene adult only section was very nice, clean with a nice balcony. The service was friendly but at times lacking. The pool at Sirene was nice with a beautiful view of the gulf but the pool was a little small and at times the water was a little cloudy . The service at the pool was again friendly but slow. They had one service attendant taking orders for the whole section leaving you waiting for times. Sounds petty maybe but the adult only section is sold as something more than it is in my opinion. Tesoro the adult only restaurant was ok nothing spectacular at all. Ario the steakhouse was excellent on the other hand. The beach is expansive to say the least and clean. The sand is a powdery soft white sand and the gulf is as always Caribbean like. We dlid not utilize the beach chairs so I can’t comment of the service here. The place itself is very large and has a nice shop section in the middle with stores from high end, a beautiful little cafe , to ones where you can buy things like lotion toiletries etc. Very convenient. The grounds are well maintained so overall a very nice hotel I was just not blown away..
This review is specifically about the shops within the JW Marriott Marco Island — especially Cross Winds and Sweet Water. I had such a wonderful experience, and Yolanda truly made it exceptional. From the moment I walked into the shops, she was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind. She took the time to answer my questions, offer thoughtful suggestions, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed. What really stood out was how sweet she was — you can tell she truly cares about the guests she helps. The shops at the JW Marriott Marco Island, including Sweetwater, are beautifully curated and such a fun part of the resort experience. But it was Yolanda’s warmth and professionalism that made my visit memorable. If you’re staying at the JW Marriott Marco Island, be sure to stop by Cross Winds and Sweet water — and if you see Yolanda, you’re in the best hands!
You must try this hotel it is everything you can imagine. The beach and the spa are my favorites. When you purchase a massage you receive full amenities. Healthy club, cold plunge 40 degrees, steam and hot tub. I lost inflammation and pain in my feet and legs, plus I gained a lot of energy. To top it off I have an electric car, they charged it without me asking. This hotel is beyond fabulous! Thank you JW Marriott
If you want to be pampered, have and amazing view, great rooms, great service, great food, this is the place to go. Heated pool, jacuzzi, excellent spa (totally recommended), beutifull beach..love the sunset celebration (Don't miss it). Drinks otherwise were not great, the only one I was able to enjoy was a Pina Colada. Food absolutely yes from breakfast to diner many many options. I'll be going back when the weather is better, this pass weekend was awful cold but there are plenty of things to do besides the beach.
This is by far the most beautiful location that we have stayed at. The service was amazing, and when we had to change plans because of the major winter storm, the staff was extremely accommodating and helped us make the necessary changes. The beach chairs and umbrella that were available to us on a daily basis were great. Also, the food and beverage service on the beach was a perfect touch, so you do not have to leave the beach! Thank you to the staff for everything! We highly recommend this resort!
We stayed in a spacious, comfortable room with a stunning ocean view. The layout felt airy and well thought out, with plenty of room to spread out, and the balcony was the real star, perfect for morning coffee or winding down as the sun dipped into the water. The bed was plush and inviting, and the overall feel was relaxed and resort-appropriate. Where the resort truly shines is the setting and amenities. The beach is beautiful with excellent shelling, and the ocean views are especially breathtaking at sunrise and sunset from both the room and the beachfront. The property offers multiple pools, along with a spa, gym, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. Add in a variety of shops, restaurants, and bars, and it’s easy to stay entertained without ever leaving the resort. That said, the hotel and amenities are definitely on the pricey side, and while convenient, most of the on-site dining is fairly average. The location helps make up for it, with several solid dining options within easy walking distance. The biggest drawback was how thin the walls are; you can clearly hear hallway traffic and neighboring rooms, which takes away from the sense of relaxation. For a resort at this level, the service also felt surprisingly hands-off, lacking the polished hospitality and thoughtful touches you’d expect. Overall, it’s a great spot for sun, sand, and views - just don’t expect perfection.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and although the hotel and amenities are a bit pricy, the location, staff, and restaurants were fantastic. There are numerous restaurants to choose from, there is a spa and gym on site with a sauna, steam room, hot tub, numerous pools, etc.. We also had a massage and the massage therapists were terrific. The icing on the cake was the fact that the front desk staff, namely Mey, took the time to personally wish us a happy wedding anniversary and surprised us with a small box of chocolates. This was not necessary and may not have occurred at any other hotel but it was an absolutely fantastic touch of class in customer service. Highly recommended.
We felt this place was seriously overpriced. Food wasn’t great, was expensive and we ended up leaving the hotel for almost every meal. We were charged $200 for 4 front row beach chairs which included a 20% tip already. I’m fine paying top pricing for top service and amazing food but this place wasn’t that. The beach attendant walked us to our chairs and threw the towels down and walked away. Then we waited two hours for a drink service cart to come by us. Once she got there I was extremely nice asking what drinks she could make. She was impatient with me and asked if i wanted to look at the menu and I said yes please, she handed me a menu and said she’d be back on her round. I was very upset because we had been so patient waiting for her in the first place and she couldn’t allow me 30 seconds to look at the menu before hurrying off. I just went and got a drink from the bar instead. Then we went to lunch and came back to our chairs and the attendants had sold one of our chairs someone else. Also, I only book hotels with kids clubs because we travel with our kids every time. We don’t get time away and we like to take advanced of having them in kids clubs for an afternoon so my husband and I can have time in the spa but upon arrival we were told the kids club wasn’t open the entire week. The things we really enjoyed in Marco island were not on site at this property. The golf that the Marriott offers was a great time for us. The course is beautiful. We did an airboat tour that I ordered online but had a pickup from the hotel and our family really enjoyed that as well. The concierge and front desk staff were always very helpful and pleasant. We stay in all inclusive resorts and family friendly resorts all the time and have had way better options for the same prices or less. We came to Marco to escape the cold and were able to enjoy some sunshine so the trip served its purpose but we won’t be returning.
Great hotel, best location ever, wonderful staff. We stayed there week before Christmas. 80 F and sunny each day. Laid on beach, spent time at the 3 pools, hot tubs, health club, had frozen tropical drinks. Top notch all around. Our hotel room was just standard, nothing special, but the view from balcony is palm trees, pool, and ocean. Parking is a bit expensive each day whether you valet or self park. Would definitely go back again.
